What do I need to bring with me?

We supply a bike in good condition, a full faced helmet and a set of wet weather gear. You will need to bring a jacket (we do have these for hire too though), long pants (no shorts), gloves and sturdy boots.

The bikes are fitted with panniers and a top box, so you will have ample room to bring clothes for your tour.

Can I bring my own helmet?

Certainly, you can bring your own wet weather gear too if you would prefer.

Will I be picked up from the Airport?

We can pick you up from the Canberra Airport, or any hotel in Canberra on the morning of your departure. We will also take you to your hotel or Airport on your return.

I can also arrange transfer from Sydney Intl Airport if required.

Can I bring a pillion?

Yes, a pillion is most welcome on the tours. A pillion will need to bring all their own gear or hire from us at a small additional fee. Pillion prices are shown in the Tours page.

How old do I have to be to join one of the tours or rent a bike?

You must be at least 27 years of age and have held a valid open motorcycle licence for 2 years or more. We will need to see and copy your licence before a tour/rental agreement is signed.

You can use a non-Australian licence, provided it is printed in English. If not, you will need to acquire an international licence prior to departure to Australia.

What happens if I have an accident?

First and foremost, we will deal with any injury you may sustain. Our guides have senior First Aid Certificates and carry a first aid kit with them on all tours. In Australia our public health system is very good. You will be treated in emergency without question, however if you are an overseas visitor, you will be required to pay for any treatment after it has been received. Therefore we strongly advise you to ensure that your travel insurance includes health insurance, in the event that you need medical treatment.

All MTNS to Coast bikes are comprehensively insured. However an excess of $1250 is payable, should the bike be damaged.

What happens if the bike is stolen while in my possession?

The bike is insured, however you will be liable for the excess, which is $1500 in the event of theft.

A security deposit of $1500 (credit card authorisation), payable prior to tour/rental departure, will be held and will be refunded in full provided the bike is returned to us undamaged.

What happens if my bike breaks down?

As the bikes are 2010 BMWs in top condition, we don't expect them to have any problems. However if they do break down, you will have a roadside assist card and an emergency number to call. The bikes are covered by warranty and we will cover all costs to repair mechanical faults and if possible arrange for a replacement bike as soon as possible. Should you be unable to continue the tour/rental we will arrange for your transfer back to Canberra and refund you on a pro-rata basis the cost of the tour/rental.

What type of accommodation do you provide on your tours?

Generally, the accommodation will include 3/4 plus star hotels with your own room. Occasionally, you may be required to stay in an apartment or cottage style accommodation that may require you to share common spaces such as the lounge, kitchen and bathroom.

Will food and fuel be included in the tour packages?

In all guided tours, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks will be provided.  They will be hearty, healthy meals designed to sustain you and optimise your riding pleasure. All fuel will be included in the guided tour package. Should wish to partake of our great Australian beers and wines at the end of the day's ride, you will need to cover your own costs.

You will be required to cover food and fuel costs during a self guided tour or rental period.
